Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold. For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it.

Reflective Thinking

If the richest man who ever lived is telling us that instruction, knowledge, and wisdom are more valuable than silver, gold, and rubies… I think he’s probably on to something. He even takes it a step further saying nothing we could desire can compare with it. This is something God repeats several times in scripture so we know it’s something He wants us to really understand. I think it’s important I convey the best concept of “prosperity” I’ve heard over the years. Prosperity is having more than enough to help you accomplish God’s fruitful purpose in your life. God loves us and wants us to prosper. And not only that… He wants us to keep on prospering… but in order to do that we need to be humble and receive instruction from the wise, we need to attain knowledge, and we need to increase in wisdom every day. Things are always moving and changing in life. If we do not continue to grow and increase in wisdom we will inevitably limit the opportunities to make the biggest impact in this life.

Action Idea

Today and every day going forward, prioritize God’s instruction, knowledge, and wisdom over the treasures of this world. Do that… and you’ll be in a position to have your mind blown of how much God loves you and wants you to prosper.
