New King James Version | NKJV

Proverbs 7:1-5 & 7:24-25

1-5: My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you. Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.” They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.
24-25: Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths.

Reflective Thinking

We know something is important when God repeats himself. Once again God is warning us against adultery… and once again, God is telling us how important it is to hear and obey His word. Not only hear and obey Him but to take those things and make them part of our identity by writing them on them on the tablet of our hearts.

Action Idea

Remember this, as we read God’s Word, let’s pay extra attention to scriptures where God repeats Himself and the next time we come across it let’s reread it as a reminder that if it’s important enough for God to repeat writing it then it’s important enough for us to reread it.
