Reflective Thinking
As I reflect about my time as a single dude I remember a good message from Pastor Les Beauchamp that challenged me. He asked, “Are you the person… the person you’re looking for… is looking for?”. It’s a challenging yet powerful question. Do you have a good reputation in your community? Do you associate with other high character and quality leaders? If you’re looking for a Proverbs 31 partner they are likely looking for similar things as you.
Action Idea
If you’re single and desire to marry a Proverbs 31 partner, ask yourself, “Am I growing into the person… the person I’m looking for…. is looking for?” If not, put a plan for growth together and stick to it. If you’re married, this doesn’t mean you’re off the hook. Remember, we are always changing. Ask yourself, “What can I do to grow more into the person my partner needs me to be?”. This is a question ought to keep asking and answering as we are always changing.
