Reflective Thinking

My first thought is “DUH… but that’s easier said than done…” Am I right?!? My next thought about this wisdom is a little more applicable to life. The best answer to being wise and using self-control and not always losing our temper and showing anger is this… receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. You see, when we are born again, Christ comes to live within us through the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of power, love and self-discipline

Action Idea

If you have not already given your life to Christ… that is the first thing I recommend. The next thing is to change our beliefs and our ways of thinking. It’s a process but I’m certain you can do this. This is a process of writing God’s word on the tablet of your heart through reading, meditating, prayer, and contemplation. It’s called Devine Reading or Lectio Devina. Today, start the process with 2nd Timothy 1:7: For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. Lectio Devina is another powerful tool you can use to grow in God’s wisdom.
