Reflective Thinking
Being prudent and taking precautions in high-risk situations is the wise thing to do. Many times it may not look like most adventurous of processes but it’s going to put you in a position to win and protect you from losing what you have gained. It takes time to build things right but in a high-risk situation, everything you’ve built can come crumbling down in an instant. That is not a lesson you want to learn the hard way. With that said, I’ve learned that there is an important balance between being precautious and not taking action out of fear of failure. It’s important to know when it’s a dangerous or high-risk situation and when it’s a low-risk move that makes us uncomfortable.
Action Idea
Make a point to think about what you’re thinking about. Pay attention to what’s going on around you. Notice things. Be curious. Ask questions. Ask God for an increase of discernment. Fear not. Ask yourself, “What’s the wise thing for me to do?” Doing these things will help increase your prudence and take wise precautions without compromising on taking action.
