Reflective Thinking

In this verse, striving in a sense is a form of being unnecessarily contentious or argumentative. There is a great book for couples called Love and Respect. One of the things the author writes about is the crazy cycle of arguing with your spouse. It’s easy to get going in the crazy cycle and it takes maturity and wisdom to get out of the cycle or stop striving. Like this verse said anybody can get on the crazy cycle… however, the honorable thing to stop striving.

Action Idea

Next time you notice yourself getting on a crazy cycle with someone be disciplined, humble, and mature by doing the honorable thing… stop striving.
