For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.

Reflective Thinking

I’m not a expert about grants but I’m pretty sure they are not given away without being asked for. There is usually some sort of application provided to the party giving the grant. That is an important part to understand if you want to be granted something. You may have heard the phrase, “ask not, get not”. In the case of wisdom, it could not be truer. If we want God’s wisdom, if we want a treasure of common sense… we need to ask God for it how He wants us to ask for it.

Action Idea

First, read James 1 a few times or until you have a good understanding of it. Then, write down God’s promise to us about wisdom as well as the process and requirements in order to be granted His wisdom. It’s simple but a powerful truth to write on the tablet of your heart.
