Reflective Thinking
This is one of those proverbs that is challenging for so many people… especially extroverts. Far too often we answer before someone else has finished what they are saying. This is something that must cease in our lives in order to have the greatest impact and influence on others. No one likes to be interrupted. I pray there are people in your life, like I do, that point out to you if you are an unaware interrupter like I have been in my life.
Action Idea
First thing is you need to know is if you are an interrupter. If you identify that you are… you need to find out how frequently you do it. Next, ask God and ask friends with the wisdom and courage to tell you the truth if you are an interrupter. If you are, ask them to tell you in a kind way and at the right time after the conversation each time they notice you speaking before hearing or interrupting. Make a decision today to improve in this area.
