Reflective Thinking
Recently on social media I had the opportunity, and dare I say desire, to plant seeds of strife. I inevitably would have tried to convince myself I was trying to help someone… but it’s most likely that it would only be received as strife. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit gave me a loving nudge and I stopped before I did something foolish. I certainly don’t want to be known as a troublemaker. Usually, these seeds of strife cause gossip and lead to broken relationships. Gossip is such a strong divider it has the ability to ruin even the best of friendships.
Action Idea
Don’t be a troublemaker planting seeds of strife and refuse to gossip… because those things don’t help anybody. Additionally, keep in front of you and write on the tablet of your heart the following: I choose to be a person who is quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.
