Proverbs 16:2

All the ways of a man are clean and innocent in his own eyes [and he may see nothing wrong with his actions], But the Lord weighs and examines the motives and intents [of the heart and knows the truth].

Reflective Thinking

One of the great deceptions that so many of us get tricked by is thinking we know the difference between what is good and what is evil. It sounds harsh but this is the original sin by choosing the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Unfortunately, we far to often decide what is good or evil based on our feelings and not the what God says. We need to remember it’s the Lord who weighs and examines the motives and intents [of the heart and knows the truth]. It’s He who is our final judge.

Action Idea

Don’t permit your feelings to direct your decisions on what is good and evil. Today, make an advanced decision to allow God to constantly reveal what is good and what is evil as you live your life so that you can make wise and righteous decisions based on God’s Truth and not based on your feelings or what you think is good or evil.
