Proverbs 1:7 – Are You a Fool?
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Reflective Thinking
No one wants to be a fool but there are many times we can look back and see we were acting foolish. For me, the most foolish times of my life I had no fear (or reverence) of the Lord. The truth is, I disrespected life and the truth of things so often it’s amazing I’ve made it this far. One thing I know for certain, most of our problems are from lack of wisdom.
Action Idea
Choose today not to despise wisdom. Do not be a fool and ignore godly instruction. Write down a handful of practical things you can do on a daily basis to get more Godly wisdom in your life. Then do them. If you don’t know the best place to start, I’d recommend reading a chapter of Proverbs every day over the next 90 days and for each time you finish a chapter, write down at least one insight you learned.
